Sponsor Licence Priority Service

The sponsor licence priority service, also known as the pre-licence priority service, is often considered by companies when a hasty approval is required.

Usually, the processing time for the sponsorship pre-licence process takes about 8 weeks. During this timeframe, the initial application undergoes review, before being added to the Sponsor Register list.

The Timeframe of the Pre-Licence Priority Service

By using the pre-licence priority service, it allows your organisation to prioritise your application for a sponsor licence through an expedited service. When using this route, the Home Office aims to deliver results within 10 working days.

However, it is important to note that this option is extremely limited. It is only available for a maximum of 30 applications per week. These can be submitted between the hours of 09:00am to 23:59pm, Monday to Friday – this excludes public holidays.

Here at Borderless, we serve as the middleman between an organisation and the Home Office. With the complexity of applying for a Sponsor Licence, we offer our assistance with the process by submitting the application on your behalf. Our standard Sponsor Licence application service is offered at £795 (plus VAT) and is generally approved within 12 weeks. However, with our priority service, this timeframe is shrunk down significantly, with approvals being made within 2 weeks. We offer this service at a fantastic price of £995 (plus VAT.)

Securing the Sponsor Licence Priority Service

There is limited time to secure a priority application. With great numbers of organisations attempting to take these spaces, they become unavailable within moments of opening. Attempting to secure a priority space can be extremely difficult for a company with little to no experience of doing so.

However, our team of experts have a proven track record of success with securing priority applications. We are likely to succeed in securing your priority application, but due to the limited nature of the process, we cannot guarantee that a priority space will be secured. If we are unsuccessful, we will fully refund your priority fee.

Eligibility for the Sponsor Licence Priority Service

Before making the decision of applying for the priority service, it is important to know if your company is eligible for this application.

Currently, priority service is not available for applicants within the following categories:

  • Government Authorised Exchange
  • International Agreement
  • Seasonal Worker
  • GBM UK Expansion Worker
  • GBM Service Supplier
  • GBM Secondment Worker
  • Scale-up Worker

Application Approval – What Happens Next?

If your request for priority service Is approved by the Home Office, at this stage you will be asked to submit your submission sheet.

This includes all mandatory and supplementary documentation involved in the application process. This information should be supplied within the following guidelines:

  • This must be within 5 working days of paying the priority service fee, if you are in the process of submitting your application
  • If you intend to add the priority service to a pre-existing application, these documents must already have been submitted
  • If you choose to add the priority service to an application that has been submitted prior to this point, your application must not still be in progress
